Maintaining Your Demolished Pool Area
Texas Pool Demo·March 27, 2024

After a pool is removed, a bit of care in the first year keeps the space stable and ready for whatever you plant or build.
Watch for settling
Even with proper compaction, backfilled soil can settle slightly as it adjusts. Keep an eye on the area and top up low spots with soil so the grade stays even.
Manage drainage
Make sure water flows away from your home and structures. Good drainage prevents pooling, erosion, and the soft spots that can undermine future landscaping.
Establish healthy ground cover
Grass, native plants, or ground cover help stabilize the soil and prevent erosion. Water consistently while roots establish, and the area will knit together into a solid, usable part of your yard.
